Contracts manager
Run several flue, chimney and steelwork jobs at once from order to handover: survey, RAMS, materials, engineers, the main contractor, testing and the handover pack.
What you do
- Take the job over from the quote: check the scope, the drawings and what the customer has ordered.
- Book the survey, check the calculations and drawings, and get the technical submittal approved.
- Write or check the RAMS for the actual site.
- Order materials, plant and access, and make sure it all lands before the engineers do.
- Plan the engineers across several jobs at once, including nights, weekends and overnights.
- Be the main point of contact for the main contractor and site manager, and handle programme changes.
- Spot and price variations before the work is done, not after.
- Check the daily photo reports, the testing and the quality of the finish.
- Get the handover pack, test reports and completion report out on time.
What we look for
- Experience running jobs in flues, ductwork, HVAC, M&E or similar site trades.
- Organised. You know where every job is without having to ring round.
- Confident with main contractors and comfortable saying no when something isn't right.
- Good on a computer, and happy to use AI tools to write, check and plan faster.
- SMSTS or SSSTS, or willing to get it.
- Full driving licence and happy to visit sites across the UK.
What we offer
- Company van
- Paid training and tickets: IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS and similar
- Branded PPE and kit
- Overtime and travel paid
