The job

Exhaust flues for a standby generator.

We designed, supplied and installed the exhaust system for a standby generator at a bakery manufacturing site in Newcastle in January 2021.

The generator has two exhaust outlets, so it has two flue systems. Rigid flanged sections connect the generator to its silencer. From there each flue has a flanged adaptor and a clean out tee with a cap end, then rises through the roof.

We cut the roof openings, fitted the flashings and weathered the roof. Each flue finishes 1.5 metres above the roof with an open terminal and mesh to stop birds nesting.
