The job
A new boiler flue along an old route.
We replaced the boiler flue at Avenue Care Home in Malvern in February 2021, working from our own access.
The new flue is 300mm twin wall insulated, about 14 metres long, and set up for condensing boilers so it will suit future plant. It follows the line of the old system and is bracketed at intervals along the way.
A 300mm single wall duct brings combustion air in, with an adaptor onto the existing duct and a new louvre on the air inlet. Outside, the last 3 metres of flue rise up the wall and were painted black.
