The job
An exhaust flue for a sprinkler pump engine.
An exhaust flue for the diesel sprinkler pump engine at St John's Wood in London.
The exhaust runs from the pump in the basement, along a horizontal section and up a riser to the roof. It is a 180mm twin wall, high pressure flue with 100mm of insulation, sized from the engine's exhaust data.
Fire stopping was added to our work part way through. We redrew the route and supplied approved fire plates and shortened sections where the flue passes through fire rated construction. On 13 October 2026 we took measurements at roof level for the last sections and the weathering at the top of the riser. The next visit completes the flue, fits the fire plates and terminal, and pressure tests the whole system.
