The job
New flues for two condensing boilers, fitted in a day.
New flues for the two condensing boilers in the plant room at Ibstock Community College in Leicestershire.
A 130mm flue rises from each boiler and the two join a 150mm header above them, with a drain at the base. From there the flue runs up to the roof. The system is single wall stainless steel with sealed joints, made for wet condensing use.
We installed the whole system on 8 May 2026 while the school was open. That covered the horizontal and vertical runs, the connections, the terminals and storm collars on the roof, and the closure plates. The client signed the job off on the day.
