The job

Four flue systems for a research building.

We designed, supplied and installed the flue systems at a university research building in Oxford.

Five 140kW boilers connect into a shared twin wall header. Four water heaters run on two flues, two per flue. Two steam boilers each have their own flue, and a standby generator has a separate exhaust with around 14 metres of horizontal run.

Each system rises about 7 metres. The headers are hung at high level from strut fixed to the walls and soffit.
