The job

A 55 metre generator exhaust to the roof.

We designed, supplied and installed the exhaust flue for a standby generator at a new building on Blossom Street in Shoreditch, finished in April 2023.

The flue is twin wall with 50mm of insulation. It runs about 8 metres across from the generator and rises about 45 metres up the building, around 55 metres of flue in total. We provided all the internal access and fitted the cover plates.

The whole system was pressure tested to 3,000 pascals for 15 minutes before handover. The measured leakage was about a third of the allowed rate, so it passed.
